About TLMII

Brief History of TLMII

Founding: The Lady Mediatrix Institute, Inc. (formerly known as Lady Mediatrix College) was founded on July 5, 1949, by a dedicated group of laymen with a visionary sense of mission: Atty. Isidro Rodriguez, Mr. Francisco Malabanan Sr., Mr. Dominador Lirio, Mr. Pastor Dalmacion, and Mrs. Clarita de Leon.

Early Management: The school's ownership was initially transferred to Rev. Msgr. Crispino Racelis (the parish priest), who served as its first Director while offering Liberal Arts and Secretarial Science. While the initial college program lasted only a year, a permit was obtained for the 1950–1951 school year to operate complete Elementary and High School levels, officially renaming the school Lady Mediatrix Institute.

The Arrival of the AR Sisters: In 1951, Rev. Msgr. Racelis invited the Augustinian Recollect Sisters to join the school staff. Very Rev. Mother Ma. Carmen Alba (Superior General at the time) sent Sr. Imelda Lachica, AR, as the local superior along with two other sisters. Two years later, total management of the institution was entrusted to the Congregation.

Modern Expansion: In 2013, the school moved to its current home in Masin Norte to give our students a bigger and better campus. Today, TLMII keeps updating its lessons to meet modern needs and constantly works hard to improve its teaching standards for the good of our learners.
